i had a really good weekend... i was able to help galo and eugie do some chores around the house. i played lots of basket (they don't call it basketball, they call it basket)... enjoyed church today... took a nap while it was raining. by the way, it rains here a lot... it basically rained all day yesterday and today. but i don't mind, i kind of like it.
however, something extremely marvelous happened tonight. i ate the best pancakes i have ever had!!!! after church a family came over to galo's house and he made pancakes. not the bisquick kind from a box, but from scratch. in fact, everything here is made from scratch. EVEN THEIR SYRUP!!! (which was delicious) he made regular ones, manzana ones (apple) and chocolate ones. i can't til we make them again so i can do it and bring them back to the united states and open a pancake house.
a little change happened today. due to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade teacher's curriculum being in spanish (and seeing as how i can't read it yet) i am goin to be teachin preschool, kindergarten and 1st grade on my own, starting tomorrow in the morning. so feel free to give me any pointers (ladonna) on how i can better teach those moldable little minds. i'm really excited about that b/c the children here are so much more beautiful and loving than back in the states, especially the really little ones.
well, off to bed, thanks for reading and keep prayin for these people down here to see the sweet love of jesus

Hey Cody,
You will do fine, one important thing to remember is to get down on their level, look them in the eyes. Be firm but loving when you discipline. I wish I were there to help, that would be right up my alley.
