sorry, it's been a week and i haven't posted anything on here yet. my bad. nothin too much to report other than i'm starting to make friends with the teachers and more people around town. i met a girl the other day that is from here and lives and works in tulsa (which is 30 minutes from my home town) small world. p90x is very difficult to do...seems as though my 'i am goin to be discpilined speech wore off this last week as i only did them once, but played basketball and soccer in their place.) not to mention, went to a 7.5 hour long church service on friday night. they had this prayer service and no one told me it would last that long, so i'm sittin there thinkin to myself how tired and confused and wondering why they kept on talking and praying. next time i'll be ready.
oh, i had a cup of soup the other day that had a chicken foot in it...yes, chicken foot soup. it's goin to be campbell's new flavor. i think they even have a 30 second spot reserved during the superbowl to promote it...let me know how it turns out. here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

Hey it is good to hear from you! It is good to hear that you are well and are making friends. Chicken foot soup eh? Sort of like Ladonna's chicken butt soup. It is good to hear that you were confused at church. I know that sounds bad but it made me laugh. I would have been so confused that i may have just left by that time and gone home and read my bible instead. But that is not you Cody it is just like you to stay. How are you doing on learning Spanish? What have you done with your kids to learn to speak English? We are all praying for you! Have Faith and trust in the Lord forever!

man i absolutely love your comments on here alexis. it's like the grown up encouragement i need, from the kid like attitude and heart i long for. thanks. you're awesome. for the kids, i figure out the vocab words that they need to know and repeat them, repeat them, and repeat them. my spanish vocabulary is growing everyday which is the best way to speak to people. i literally read a spanish dictionary in my spare time. over and over and over, catchin the emphasis on repition. boring, but it works.
chicken foot soup is not quite as bad as chicken butt soup, but close. i need you to hold me to something. i need to eat one of those grub things before i leave, and you seem like the best accountability person someone could ask for. guilt trip me, yell at me, whatever it takes for me to down one of the gross suckers. thanks alexis.
